Since moving to Gainsborough,
I am pleased to say that I  have never lived in a community
with such wonderful, kind, nice and considerate neighbors.
The condo community that I came from was a nightmare.
Living here is a breath of fresh air. Everyone keeps their yards looking
so beautiful too, not to mention how safe I feel living here.

In addition, I also would like to commend Jeanie Rosenburg
for her skills and knowledge and wonderful attitude
to help us with anything that may come up.

We have lived here seven years and in all those years we have felt right at
home with a feeling of being loved by all the neighbors, feeling free to ask for
help of any kind , never a dull moment always something being planned for
the next month, our owners and managers are always here to help no matter
what.  Our yards are fenced in for privacy and that is what we like.

Thanks for everything.

Do you believe in Irish luck?
Well, I surely do and let me tell you why.

Four years ago, I decided to stop working and take early retirement.
I was living in Santa Barbara at the time and I asked myself,
“Where in the world would I like to live?”

I has been to Oregon both as a child and as an adult.

Each time, I left knowing that someday I would return – perhaps for good!

And so it was an easy decision to choose Oregon as the state,
but where in Oregon would I end up?

This is where the Irish luck comes in.
I “Googled” gated retirement communities
and up popped Gainsborough.

I combed through the website and I liked everything I saw.
I called Jeanie to see if there were any homes for sale and in 2 days,
I had a package from her with a picture of my house.

I made plane reservations for that weekend and met with Jeanie
on a Saturday morning, toured the house, and left her a deposit.

I went home, called my realtor, and before my house there was
listed, it was sold.  In 4 weeks, I quit my job and was
on my way to my new life in Oregon.

I have never regretted for one minute
my decision to move to Gainsborough!

It is a wonderful community of dear and caring neighbors,
many of whom have become treasured friends.

You can become as involved as you want in the activities at Gainsborough
– which enhance your life ten-fold, or you can remain private, if that’s your choice.  You are never pressured to do more than you want,
yet you are welcomed and celebrated when you join in the fun!

I serve as the Chairperson for the Committee of Seven
(Gainsborough’s Grievance Committee)
and my team and I feel like the lonely Maytag repairmen.
We meet twice a year and for the past two meetings,
there have been no complaints or issues to resolve
that were not already successfully addressed by Management.
In a community of 73 homes, that is truly remarkable
and speaks volumes about how well-managed is Gainsborough
and how happy we are as a community.

If you are considering a move to a community such as ours,
you can consider yourself “Irish lucky” to choose Gainsborough!

We have been at Gainsborough for about a year now,
and couldn’t be more pleased with our decision.

The people have been very friendly and welcoming,
and the staff is very helpful at all times.

We especially enjoy driving in and having the beautiful huge oak
tree to greet us, and the lovely well maintained landscaping and lawns.
And no utility poles and wires!

We appreciate living on the river
where we have the ducks entertaining us
and all the beautiful trees, as well as the walking trail
with rhodies and plants all along it.  Come and enjoy!
